During the Holstein Stallion Approvals, we payed a call on Johann Hermann Claussen, well-known breeder of Cassini I & II, and we didn’t regret! Our visit resulted in acquisition of the mare Mira VI (Lansing x Caletto II x Mahmud). Mira VI is the half sister of the Holstein monuments: Cassini I & II as well as the approved stallion, Clarimo. Mira VI is already mother of among others the approved, and much sought-after, stallion Cassaro. Mira VI is 11 years old and she’s in foal of Crawford. The foal is to be expected at the beginning of June. If it’s a colt, the foal will be for sale. If it’s a filly, we will keep her as a future breeding mare. In 2008 Mira VI gave birth to a son of the same Crawford. This colt was purchased by the Holstein Verband. (Picture: Cassaro, the Holstein approved son of Mira VI.)
